By Natalie Lescroart | Fundraising Events Manager, Cycle for Survival
The 2015 season was the best yet for Cycle for Survival. This past February and March, more than 21,000 participants (across 2000+ teams) and over 160,0000 donors came together in 13 cities nationwide to fight back against rare cancers.
And we're thrilled to report that the events raised more than $25 million for rare cancer research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center! We can't thank TripAdvsior enough for helping to make this possible.
Importantly, 100% of every dollar raised by Cycle for Survival is put to use within six months of the events. The IMPACT of the $25 million raised this year will be significant and incredible. Soon, MSK's senior leadership will select the most promising rare cancer projects to receive these funds—we can't wait to share the results with you later this summer!
Cycle for Survival has contributed over $76.5 million to the fight against rare cancers since 2007--funding more than 100 clinical trials and research studies on rare cancers. But the battle isn't over yet—we still have a long way to go.
Thank you for choosing to fight with us.
