Cycle for Survival is the national movement to beat rare cancers. Since 2007, Cycle for Survival has raised over $50 million for rare cancer research through its signature indoor team cycling events. Most importantly, 100% of every dollar raised has gone to research efforts within 6 months of each event – funding more 85 clinical trials and research studies. This immediate support has drastically reduced the time it takes for treatments to reach patients – in some cases cutting the span from years to months.
The 2014 events took place in February and March in 13 cities nationwide. Over 17,000 participants took part, raising more than $20 million for the cause. We are pleasd to share our 2014 funding allocations here.
Registration for the 2015 events opened in September. This year, Cycle for Survival will not increase in number of cities -- but will expanded its capacity in existing cities to meet the growing participant demand. Remarkably as of this report, we are at more than 80 percent capacity. Indeed, more than 20,000 participants are expected to join the battle this coming February and March. We look forward to strategically expanding in future years -- exponentially increasing our impact.
We encourage you to visit the updated Cycle for Survival website for more information on the 2015 events to learn more about why we ride.
Thank you for your generosity.
