By Marissa Nelson | Cycle for Survival
Cycle for Survival is the high-energy, indoor team cycling event that provides everyone with an opportunity to take action against rare cancers. The 2014 events took place in February and March in 13 cities nationwide: New York City, Boston, Chicago, Miami, San Francisco, Palo Alto, Los Angeles, Seattle, Long Island, Dallas, Greenwich Connecticut, Livingston New Jersey, and Washington DC. Over 17,000 participants took part.
Since 2007, Cycle for Survival has raised over $50 million for rare cancer research. Most importantly, 100% of every dollar raised has gone to research efforts within 6 months of each event – funding 85 clinical trials and research studies, with additional projects funded by the 2014 events being announced later this month. This immediate support has drastically reduced the time it takes for treatments to reach patients – in some cases cutting the span from years to months.
Every rider, donor, and supporter makes a difference. Indeed, Cycle for Surival is a movement of powerful voices and courageous stories. Together, we're fighting to beat rare cancers. Click here to see why.
Thank you for your generosity - don't forget to mark you calendars for 2015!
