RASA is an organisation serving the cause of empowering people with differing abilities for over 27 years and has successfully enriched the lives of several thousand beneficiaries . RASA provides for empowerment of individuals with every need and includes individuals with mental and physical challenges in its ambiance , Rasa's integrated approach to development is one of its kind. The development at Rasa happens through the experience of Indian Theatre Arts. RASA 's work is honorary.
What if you - or any of your loved ones have a disability, or, maybe even just have simple challenges on a day to day basis. What if you are unable to recognize your own potential and are therefore unable to meet life's demands at any moment. What ,also, if you ,or your family cannot afford services to help yourself. what if affordability is there, but the family is unwilling to invest in you as you are' different' ?
RASA spreads its reach to help those in need without expecting the beneficiaries to meet the expenses incurred and is therefore able to work in a truly inclusive manner . The Education and Empowerment that RASA provides, allows those in real need to nurture his/her potential and channelize it in the appropriate manner. To provide this service RASA incurs an expense of Rs 85 to 90 lakhs every year. Support to this project ensures that the deserving individuals get the required inputs.
Through Rasa's program we aim to overcome inequalities and improve the quality of life of persons with differing needs. This Unique approach to education and empowerment has transformed the lives of over 20,000 beneficiaries till date and has provided them with the most needed sense of great self -worth , as well as the appropriate skills for complete independence through the Art Experience. Therefore the long term impact is to create an inclusive society through the RASA way of life.
