Computer Literacy Classes for the children

By Samikchya Sharma | Program Manager

Project Parahu started to support the literacy levels of the children of a Musahar community in Dhanushadham. Today, the project has evolved and taken the shape of a self-sustaining project.

The children have been able to move beyond the walls of the learning center and travel to our nearby training center to attend computer literacy classes. Computer Literacy for children is a rather new concept. Exposure to the world of computers and its programs has been a major motivation for the children to come to the training center and attend 2 hours long classes in the presence of a facilitator.

In addition to the children, Parahu facilitators also have been active in learning and facilitating computer classes that involve familiarity with screen, keyboard, Microsoft Office programs, and Paint at the Basic Level of their learning curve.
