Update on Parahu

By Samikchya Sharma | Program Manager

We began Parahu in 2020 in the presence of 3 facilitators and 190 children. With time, our approach and working modality changed from supporting numeracy and literacy to incorporating digital literacy and soft skills workshops.

Today, with a total of 5 facilitators actively working to support the educational needs of the children from nearby Musahar communities, we are confident that Parahu has been a working model that can be replicated in other communities with children eager to learn but with no access to support and learning environment.

Parahu has become a self-sufficient engagement in the community in support of local organizations and networks. Today, SAATH is minimally involved in the activities that were extensively carried out in the previous months.

We are extremely grateful that your support helped us kickstart a community-led intervention. While we will not be active in the forefront of the intervention from hereon, we are open to collaborating with you and connecting you with the local team directly. THANK YOU for being a constant support to our work.
