The covid relief effort inaugurated and systematized by Ashwini Charitable Trust (ACT) in March 2020, has progressed markedly, advancing in its synergy and reach. Since then, we have ensured that not a single child, that is a part of the ACT, has gone to bed hungry. Team ACT is proud to announce that, this time around, we were able to distribute food Provision Kits to a total of 185 families.
Every single Provision Kit contained:
Each family was also provided with a set of five KN95 masks.
Additionally, in August 2020, ACT initiated its Online Education Program in order to curb learning lags and further the pedagogical process. Our volunteers have been supplementing children with the necessary mental nourishment they would otherwise be lacking. 81 families have been equipped with tablets and prepaid internet recharge packs of 300 per month, to be able to attend online classes. While reopened schools and other educational institutions get geared to pick up the slack, we at ACT are pleased to announce that our kids are strategically placed to make headway.
We are truly humbled by and grateful to all those who have played a role in spurring the effort on; abundantly demonstrating the spirit of co-operation and benevolence. Fueled by gratitude, we will continue striving! Thank you!
