Challenge

Africa Should Prepare For The Worst. -WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom advised African countries . Now the first case of Coronavirus was reported in Kenya on 13th March 2020. More cases are reported daily. Donations to this fund will help stop the spread of Coronavirus and support urgent response efforts. Many families in Informal settlement are the most vulnerable because they will not afford face masks, soap, sanitizers and food in case of city lock down.

Solution

Donations to this fund will bring support to people who live on hand to mouth in slums areas and help stop the virus's spread. Low income earners in informal settlement will be sensitized how to prevent spread of Coronavirus and provided with face masks, soap, sanitizers and food rations in case of lock down. Community members and volunteer community social workers to be supported to help stop spread of the COVID-19 Virus.

Long-Term Impact

We believe as a community grasroot organizations we are deeply rooted in local community and are best positioned to provide long-term support for survivors of outbreaks and other crises. By funding our relief efforts of our local organizations, donations to this fund has the potential to build stronger response capacity so that our organizations is better equipped to face future outbreaks. We will post reports about how funds have been used and will email these reports to donors.
