Thank you all donors for your kind support. Our project has moved to providing physical books to digital books. Presently we have partnered with other organisation to continue with the Home Literacy project in order to continue making an impact in the lives of children in slum communities.

In order to help minimise the educational impact of our children due to the covid 19 pandemic, Achievers Ghana instituted Covid Home Literacy Project to help bridge the gap of knowledge gap lost during the closure of schools due to the pandemic. Since April, 2020 children in slum communities are being help with books and other learning aid to help facilitate contnues learning.

So far over 6,000 children have been impacted and the project is in progress. We aimed to reach 2,000 more children. With the digital devices in hand, we hope to reach our target. We will need more support from any one who is willig to support us with more devices.

We hope to hear from you soon.

Hello Everyone,

I am much privilage to come to you today with this report on the COVID-19 Home Literacy Project we are working on since last year. I first of all want to thank all our donors and well wishers for their kind support for our work.

The COVID-19 Home Literacy Project is on-going and it has assumed a different dimension in the sense that, since the lifting the ban on luckdown which gave access to free movement and the reopening of schools in Ghana, children resumed schools which limits our volunteers from reaching children in their various homes, however we took a different strategy to ensure that our program bridge the learning gap children experienced during staying at home.

We still support children with learning and reading materials to help them and support the efforts teachers are offering at school. We also came to realised that, most children do not have reading and learning  materials to boost their reading and learning abilities hence the idea to keep supporting them with the learning aid.

We are currently facing financial deficit which may bring the project to the end. We are appealling to all and sundry to support this project to be able to support the deprived children who might not be able to buy supplementary learning aids to aid their learning.

We hope this message will be shared to friends, families and love ones to support this honourable cause. Thank you all for your usual and kind support and we hope to hear from you very soon.

Hello Every One,

2020 and its pending challenges of the strange COVID-19 pandemic has brought everything to a standstill and with less hope to many, especially girls in deprived communities. But with you our cherished and dedicated donors, we are still changing lives and helping to re-kindle hope to many girls and we are having a happy ending to 2020 and we thank you so much for your kind and usual support.

With your support, we can proudly say we have made an impact in the lives of 1,500 girls and over in this challenging time. It was so exciting seeing many girls involved in serious learning and keeping their hope alive of going back to school when school re-opened soon.

As schools re-opened somehow soon next year, there is a very big challenge of securing funds to send these girls back to school. It is interesting to note that, many girls in slum communities have already pushed into forced marriages due to the closure of schools. Parents think girls are a burden to the family hence the need to be forced out of the parents' house and start a family with men as wives at that young age.

It is upon this that, we hope we could secure enough funds to support our girls and prevent them from been forced into early and forced marriages. We hope this report will touch your heart to make the noise of our project to your family, friends, and love ones to support us.

Let us use this festive season to support the needy and help change lives for the better.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year in Advance. May the good Lord continue to bless you and always.

Hello,

It has not been easy this time as we have not yet received funds on this project. But there is still hope as we are still striving to meet our demand.

We have already been struggling to send girls to school and now that there is a closure of schools which makes it more vulnerable for girls to return to school when school reopens.

Life of a girl child in slums is a very difficult one. A community where access to computers and internet is very limited, which makes it more difficult to access distance learning. This means no learning and no progress. Girls Education is on the stage of backwardness.

Tgis calls for more support to girls literacy. They need to be prepared for schooling at anytime when school will reopen. That is why we came out with the home literacy project to aid girls to bridge the education gap which was lost due to the closure of schools. They need to develop the habit of reading to keep them pace in the education system.

We will need your kind support to continue with our homie literacy program to reach as many girls as we can. We truly need our support in this difficult times.

We are waiting for your kind support.

Thank you once again for your kind support.
