Dear Donors,

We are so grateful to you for contributing to our appeal to raise funds for PPE for Saint Francis Hospice (SFH). Your donations helped the Rotary Club of Brentwood raise £10,000 which has ensured that:

  • visitors and relatives have had sufficient PPE to safely visit their family and friends
  • the hospice could purchase screens to enable their charity shops to re-open and start generating the funds they need to continue their fantastic work

At a recent presentation from Saint Francis Hospice, Ann Brown, Head of Major Gifts and Legacies told the Rotary Club how:

  • they have made alterations to their buildings to keep their patients safe and prevent the spread of the virus
  • they are supporting more patients in the community through remote working than ever before
  • patients who have been staying at the Hospice have been able to see the people that are close to them throughout the period of “lock down”

Your donations have helped SFH to make this happen.

Jane Frame, Director of Fundraising and Marketing said: “I'm so proud of what we've achieved so far. Our Hospice has supported over 400 patients every month during the lockdown.

"Thanks to the Rotary Club of Brentwood we've been able to support our patients and their loved ones”

In view of this we wanted to say thanks to all of you for raising this amazing amount of money! In recognition of our hugely successful Campaign GlobalGiving has given us a grant of circa £19,000 to spend on local Covid-19 activities. We have used some of this money to part match your donations and have increased the total monies to Saint Francis to £15,000.

The appeal is closing now but you can still support Saint Francis and read more about our appeal at - see link.

Thank you once again for your support
