Heroes for All has been involved helping the struggling population of daily wage earners and unemployed providing 1 wk supply of food items since March 18. 1 bag cost $5.81 The volunteers and members of the organization is going door to door handing over the food so that the people who are in crisis do not need to come out of their homes. We successfully managed to support +3000 families across Bangladesh with whatever fund we managed to raise and continuing the distribution in remote villages.
Due to COVID-19 pandemic in the country, the government has issued a country wide lock down in Bangladesh. This situation created problem for those who are daily wage earners and newly unemployed as small shops, work-places local stores were shut down. Many people who are in the rural part are also unable to work and earn a living to feed their families. The crisis is becoming more acute day by day .
The Heroes for All members and volunteers are taking permission from the local law enforcing agencies to distribute 1 week food supply going door to door. This effort is helping the struggling families to stay home instead of coming out in the streets and providing some relief during this crisis through the basic food items.
The door to door distribution can help the people to stay in and thus help to flatten the curve so the disease is not spread across communities.
