The major activities are undertaken in response to Post- Covid 19 Pandemic. Thanks to the donors for supporting in pandemic time.

Facilitate Covid 19 Vaccination district GO /NGOs coordination meeting:  During the reporting period we have consciously facilitate regular Covid 19 planning and review meeting at district and block to ensure availability of vaccination at the vaccination site and ensure 100% vaccination among the targeted population. At block level the meeting was chaired by the CHC superintendents and at district level the meeting was chaired by the chief medical and public health officer (CM& PHO).

Organize Community Mobilization Meeting: In all the 179 village several rounds of community mobilization meeting has been organized with the close collaboration of front line health workers and medical vaccination team. The objective of the meeting was to facilitate enhanced understanding among the communities and ensure 100% vaccination for all eligible population in the villages.

Preparation of micro plan: This is a strategic innovation in the project to discuss the operational issues and plan further to carry forward the planned activity smoothly. In every month with the key stakeholders we used to sit and developed a vaccination micro plan and accordingly all the vaccination camps and other planned activities were organized smoothly.

Tika Ratha Awareness campaign on Covid vaccination: During this reporting period we have created mass awareness campaign locally known as “TIKA RATH”, the focus was on propagating the importance of Covid 19 vaccination, through this campaign we have reached out around 45000 thousand eligible populations in 179 villages of 12 Gram panchayts. The objective of this campaign was to inform the eligible population on the importance of Covid 19 vaccination and clearing all their myths and misconception on Covid 19 vaccinations.

Organize Vaccination camp: During the reporting period we have organized 41 vaccination camps and cumulative 100 in different strategic locations of the operational areas, the camps were organized in close collaboration of the CHC vaccination team. The following are the results achieved i.e

  • Cumulatively we have covered 46333 (99.7 %) eligible population (18+ Age) vaccinated 1st dose against 46467 populations. 2nd dose cumulatively covered 35312 (76.2 %) against 1st dose vaccinated population 46333.
  • 18 to 44 age group 1st dose cumulative coverage 27994 (100 %) against 27994 population and 2nd dose coverage 21630 (77.2%) against 27994 population (1st dose coverage) 
  • 45+ age group 1st dose cumulative coverage 18339 (99.27 %) against 18473 and 2nd dose coverage 13682 (74.6 %) against 18339 1st dose covered population.

Home visit to hesitant population: To ensure 100% vaccination coverage we have used mobile vaccination camp as a strategies to provide door step vaccination to the hesitant, old age and differently challenges population, during the reporting period we have covered all the 179 village of 12 GPs in our operational areas and covered a good number of population in this categories,

Facilitate School Health Camps: As per the government order and request of district administration we have involved in the school vaccination camps, during the reporting period we had organized schools wise meetings with eligible adolescents, school authority and school management committee on the need of vaccination and simultaneously informed medical authority for the same, during this period we have covered more than 50 schools and cumulatively covered 2700 adolescents (15 to 17 age group)

Key Learning’s: 

  • Early information along with home visit, personal touch and providing a chit (date, place and time) to the left out population definitely helpful in  increasing the vaccination coverage
  • In the hesitant population, interfacing with a doctor and setting live example from their vicinity and nearby villages are enhancing positivity towards vaccination.
