This project will ensure oxygen support to 152 critically ill COVID-19 patients, food and ration support to 500 vulnerable families, and home-based care and treatment to hundred COVID-19 patients who have no financial and emotional support during the crisis. The project will also support our frontline workers who have been infected with the virus while working on the ground, ensuring emergency relief to the families worst affected by lockdown. Beneficiaries will be supported across India.
The second wave of Covid-19 is sweeping through India with the ferocity of an inferno and we have all sadly seen the haunting, heart-breaking images of death and human suffering that it is leaving in its wake. Well over 300,000 positive cases each day - the highest figures recorded in any country at any point during the pandemic. This time around, the situation is dire. The sudden spike in cases has brought the nation's healthcare system to its knees. An urgent action can save lives!
With many parts of the country on lockdown, requests for basic food rations from vulnerable communities we work with are increasing. iPartner India has identified migrants and other vulnerable groups for ration support. As critically ill patients are being turned away from hospitals due to lack of oxygen, iPartner India will ensure oxygen support to them and will also ensure home based care and treatment to the COVID-19 affected patients who are financially weak or are our frontline workers.
In long term, your support will help in reducing the case load on health facilities further ensuring focused care for patients. iPartner India through your support would take a step forward for ensuring zero deaths due to hunger. We would also like to ensure people walking happy and healthy from COVID hospitals. We would like to be a pillar of support for those who are struggling in isolation in the absence of medical care and emotional support, be it an individual or our frontline worker.
