COVID-19 continues to have a huge impact on the livelihood and health status of people in Myanmar. Many people in this community lack access to proper education and training regarding COVID-19. Our training is designed to address health and safety in the context of COVID-19. The courses are developed and delivered in collaboration with Eastern Michigan University, Global Health Services Network, and the American Nursing Institute in Myanmar.
COVID-19 continues to have a huge impact on the Myanmar community. Educating populations and disseminating knowledge on this virus is a key measure to help reduce the spread of this outbreak. Global Health Services Network already subsidizes a large part of the training that is being provided in Myanmar. However, your donation helps us rapidly scale our online training to meet the immediate need for training amidst COVID-19 and reach more people.
Our goal is to provide high quality COVID-19 related training to populations with limited access and to provide an opportunity for healthcare professionals to develop expertise in this topic, thereby reducing isolation from experts while providing job opportunities and skills advancement for local professionals. We collaborate with local organizations, the American Nursing Institute-Myanmar delivers the training in Burmese, and international experts develop the content and support its delivery.
The training is designed to provide participants with the tools and strategies to take care of their mental and physical health during this pandemic and lifetime. The information provided in this training is continuously updated as new information becomes available to reflect the current state of science regarding COVID-19. This training will grant COVID-19 education to those unable to afford training otherwise, and allow the community to become better equip with education during this pandemic.
