The activities in the three ednica community centers continue, Covid-19 infections have been reduced in Mexico and we currently have different actions with the projects that are developed to support children and adolescents who work or live on the streets of Mexico City. At ednica we thank all of our partners for their help and follow up on each of the programs to benefit the target population.

In the past months, summer activities were carried out with the support of partners such as Fundación Quiera and AT&T, who facilitated outdoor activities so that children and adolescents who participate in community centers and street activities had a space for recreation, as well as to share knowledge, thus exercising their right to recreation and the use of public spaces.

In the case of AT&T, they supported us so that 20 girls and boys from 8 to 10 years old could participate in a robotics workshop facilitated by an organization specialized in activities with children. The event was held in Tepoztlán Morelos, and the AT&T team brought the children from the three community centers from Mexico City, supported them with food and also helped the participants to live a different and educational experience.

In August we carried out the backpack delivery campaign, so that children and adolescents could have their school supplies and started the new school year with the support of donors such as VIS Foundation, Fundación MAPFRE and individual donors. Special thanks to the volunteers from Fundación MAPFRE who helped us assemble the backpacks and distributed them to the children attending the school.

We know that the Covid 19 contingency has diminished and we can have more outdoor activities, however, in the three community centers we have not reduced the protection measures, children continue to wear masks, we continue to keep our distance and we are constantly aware of the health of each of the people who attend the facilities.
