By Mumtaz Ali | Project Leader

Respected Donors,

Greetings from FRDP!

As we all know the COVID 19 made terrible life for everyone, Pakistan facing serious food insecurity challenges since last many years, Similarly, food insecurity is also very high and between 20-30% population (40 to 62 million people) is in some form of food insecurity in Pakistan. Given the scale of this emergency, while the situation is still evolving, there is a strong likelihood that the number of food-insecure people will rise especially in areas already affected by the high recurrence of food insecurity and hit hard by the COVID 19. Most people affected by COVID belongs to daily wage workers and home-based workers, they lost Jobs.

Thanks to your donors, we reached this time 20 home-based workers they all lost the jobs and they don't have enough food. These workers shared that there is no other option than us, they contacted our team many times for the food, but we have also limited resources so we reached the poor women workers.

It's possible because of the support of you, otherwise its really hard to support the families, There are many women contacting us for the food daily bases after the food distribution. We are just requesting whatever you want to donate that will help us to reach more needy people.

Thank you, thank you, thank you again for being a part of our community, and for your continued support. We will get through this time together and come out even stronger because of it.

With Best Regards

Help us to eliminate hunger

By Mumtaz Ali | Project Leader

Valued Donors,

Greetings from FRDP Pakistan!

We, at Fast Rural Development Program FRDP, have a goal to help the needy and we won’t let the pandemic stop us. we gave a response to Covid-19 through the initiative ‘Feed the Daily Wager’ that was launched to help the daily wagers who lost their livelihood.

People like us, who are privileged and can afford food even in these hard times, may not be able to understand the feeling of going hungry because of non-availability of food. But there are people out there who have no food to eat. They can barely afford one meal a day. Being the privileged, it is our responsibility, as a human being, to help them.

The staff at FRDP received a lot of concerns from the families of the underprivileged children through the project. Most of the worries were about not having food to eat. Due to the pandemic, the daily wage workers had no work, hence no income and could not afford food for their families. FRDP, after hearing these complaints, could not just sit quietly and started providing dry ration kit to the daily wage workers who presently have no jobs.

For the ‘Feed the Daily Wager’ initiative, the ration kits were procured, families in need were identified, and the kits were then distributed to the families. The procurement and the distribution of the ration kits were done through the donations received. Also, the responsible distribution of the ration kits was ensured.

As a result of this initiative, we were able to help many people. This little contribution brought happiness and smiles to the faces of the people. Seeing them happy made our hearts melt. It made us proud of our work and encouraged us to continue to work towards helping society in the future also.

We want to thank each one of you for your kind donation and support during this crisis period as we all are going through in the present pandemic situation.

With Best Regards

We have distributed food among the poor families

By Mumtaz Ali | Project Leaders

Respected Donors,

Thanks to your contributions, 84 households & 586 people of Hyderabad, Dadu & Khairpur Pakistan have been delivered food in the course of the since last month! In total, the island communities of Dadu, Khairpur & Hyderabad received 900 people received basic food, thanks to your generous support.

As you are aware, with the arrival of the Covid-19 in Pakistan and the confinement measures that quickly followed, it has been very difficult for a lot of people in Pakistan to support their families because many people lost their jobs due to lockdown and losses in companies sell.

What’s next?

COVID 19 situation is going worst day by day, since we started the campaign cases now doubled and increasing, due to an increase in cases government earlier announced the lockdown but after some time they opened the markets. But since yesterday government again started thinking for the further closed down the cities, If that would be the case, people will die because of no food in stock. The government already reached us through the official letter that they have received the food requests from people around 20000 in one district only and there is a need for food around 1 million people. We are trying our level best to reach as much as we can.

We know due to COVID19 everyone is suffering of financial crises and we again request you, if your pocket allow you little contribution please contribute whatever you can, we have sent the emails to you individually, hope you received them. We assure you that your single donated dollar will reach the needy family. May GOD accept our donations, Ameen.

We have distributed the food items with your name mentioned on the packet so you can see your names on the packet and we have distributed all food items before EID, so people were really happy and prayed for your long life.

If you don't see your name in pictures please write us email info@frdp.org.pk we will share you the picture with your name tagged on food pack. We tried our level best to attach many pictures with this post.

Many thanks for your continued support and for permitting us to pursue our work even during these trying times!
