COVID 19 Appeal for Pakistan

Greetings from FRDP Pakistan! 

We, at Fast Rural Development Program FRDP, have a goal to help the needy and we won’t let the pandemic stop us. we gave a response to Covid-19 through the initiative ‘Feed the Daily Wager’ that was launched to help the daily wagers who lost their livelihood.

 People like us, who are privileged and can afford food even in these hard times, may not be able to understand the feeling of going hungry because of non-availability of food. But there are people out there who have no food to eat. They can barely afford one meal a day. Being the privileged, it is our responsibility, as a human being, to help them.

The staff at FRDP received a lot of concerns from the families of the underprivileged children through the project. Most of the worries were about not having food to eat. Due to the pandemic, the daily wage workers had no work, hence no income and could not afford food for their families. FRDP, after hearing these complaints, could not just sit quietly and started providing dry ration kit to the daily wage workers who presently have no jobs.

 For the ‘Feed the Daily Wager’ initiative, the ration kits were procured, families in need were identified, and the kits were then distributed to the families. The procurement and the distribution of the ration kits were done through the donations received. Also, the responsible distribution of the ration kits was ensured.

 As a result of this initiative, we were able to help many people. This little contribution brought happiness and smiles to the faces of the people. Seeing them happy made our hearts melt. It made us proud of our work and encouraged us to continue to work towards helping society in the future also.
