As Zimbabwe prepares for the peak of the virus there is significant concern from Bubi District Hospital about their ability to meet the demands about to be put on their system. They have approached us and our partner Trinity Project to help provide essential equipment to save lives and protect front line workers.
Cases are rising in the area. Lock-down has been in place as of 23rd March but has an uncertain future with many in the district unable to follow social distancing as they need to leave home to gain money for food. The hospital is working towards preparedness but does not have the resources required to respond to the crisis.
This will help the hospital maintain basic sanitation standards needed to limit the spread of the virus to staff and members of the public. It will contribute to ensuing their system is not overwhelmed and people die needlessly.
A quicker way out of the crisis for Zimbabwe, it's people and economy. Lives saved, communities in-tact. Also leading to better preparedness for future crises.
