First of all: thank you very much to all who have given! Some might think, looking at Thailand's Corona-numbers, that the crisis is behind us. Indeed there haven't been any local transmissions in Thailand for over 3 months, which is great news. Unfortunately, millions of people have lost their jobs due to Corona and hence are still suffering.
It is tough to see so many of the families we look after, go without a job currently. Especially in Phang Nga, where we run an office, people are severly hit by the current crisis. Phang Nga is a province often visited by tourists. Now that they stay away, many people are out of work. Hotels are closed, restaurants sent away most of their stuff, boat trips to islands are cancelled.
Thanks to your support, we were able to hand out hundrerds of food boxes, in Bangkok, Mukdahan, but especially in Phang Nga. The people who lost their jobs, still need support, or else they will go hungry. Will you please consider supporting again, so we can feed all those suffering? We very much appreciate what you have done for Siam-Care!
