last 23 years our Madurai Health and Leprosy Relief Centre is working for the eradication of leprosy and Rehabilitation services. Our old and deformed ulcer patients is not able to get the treatment for their foot ulcer and deformity care, Because there is no leprosy hospital in Madurai district. if need the proper treatment the patient need to travel 80 Kms to reach the next district leprosy hospital. so we plan to built the small dispensary with 30 bed facility with lab, pharma.etc.
Since longtime the leprosy illness is increasingly affecting more population in the south of India, precisely Madurai district Tamil Nadu. From 1991 up to now Madurai Health and Leprosy Relief Centre is fighting against that illness with insufficient fund, 3000 cases are detected and 455 are treated and 115 are under treatment and 2430 are no treatment. The leprosy patients are very poor people with no comfortable habitation and lack of food. Our intervention is now very important to save life
Through the implementation of this project our patients in Hospital daily more than 100 patients will get treatment and it has 30 bed facility, so 30 deformed persons will get the ulcer care treatment. Each ulcer patient will stay at bed rest minimum 15 to 45 days depend upon the ulcer. If the patient needs the operation (Reconstructive Surgery), we can do Surgery in the affected location of the body. Madurai and Leprosy Relief Centre believe that this solution will bring best result
The leprosy hospital will continuously provides quality treatment for patients in order to eradicate the illness. This project will be benefit for more than 1000000 of population in the area of the project and far it will be possible. The frequent survey activities in the zone of the project will allow Mahelerecen team to have eyes on the ongoing activities. We are noticing that our project will bring happiness to many people. This hospital will continuously be maintain daily help for patients.
