Rare Gem Talent School is a school under the Dyslexia Organization, Kenya. The school is located in Kitengela, Kajiado County, Kenya. The school caters to children with dyslexia and neurodevelopmental disorders
The school is currently on a leased ¼ acre piece of land. The space occupies the classes, boardrooms, and Kitchen for preschool, primary and secondary school. Through a bank loan, the school acquired a 1-acre piece of land where the construction of the school will include a block classroom, the assessment centre, and boarding rooms for both girls and boys in primary and secondary school. All the funds are channeled towards the construction as moving to the new place is urgent. The current school has become too small to accommodate the growing number of children. The lease contract is coming to end, and the monthly rent is too expensive to maintain.
The construction cost has been tremendously affected by the increased prices of materials attributed to COVID-19 and increased fuel prices. Food prices have doubled, affecting the operations at Rare Gem Talent School.
