Peace Insight is a revolutionary online resource published by Peace Direct which helps to connect local peacebuilding organisations with one-another, whilst providing them with crucial information about funding and growth. It offers a wealth of information to anyone wanting to find out more about locally-led peacebuilding, and is available free of charge - but we need your help to keep it that way.
In conflict zones around the world there are local organisations working for peace. Their work rarely makes the headlines, but their local knowledge and dedication to their communities makes their interventions to stop conflict effective. These organisations often lack funding and resources. We believe that local people are best placed to find solutions to conflicts, and are dedicated to supporting them.
Peace Insight is an online resource for local peacebuilding information. Through a network of 12 Local Peacebuilding Experts, we have researched and profiled more than 1600 organisations, making them more visible and fostering connections with each other and international partners. We've also created a forum for vibrant online 'Peace Exchange' consultations. We also award the annual Tomorrow's Peacebuilders awards which helps fund important peacebuilding work around the world.
With the funding and networking opportunities provided by Peace Insight, local peacebuilding organisations will grow. They will be able to become more financially secure, and collaborate with eachother. They will be able to respond more quickly to conflict, and carry out long-term projects to rebuild lives and avoid future conflict breaking out. They will be able to share their knowledge and experience with international stakeholders to create better peacebuilding interventions.
