Dear GlobalGiving community,
Part of the success of the implementation of a community edible forest project is the organizational strengthening of those who participate in it, for this reason, we have created an alliance with Casa de la Mujer, an international organization that has worked for more than 20 years in the fight for women's rights.
The objective of this aliza is to strengthen the women's organizations participating in the project. For this, 6 workshops have been carried out to understand alliances, leadership in the territories, internal skills, etc., and thus contribute to their strengthening
Weather conditions have delayed the implementation of this activity (floods, landslides, etc.). However, 4 possible plots have been identified where it would be possible to install edible forests.
On the other hand, the greenhouse installed a few months ago will be launched with the participating women, who are organizing to define their roles and participation in its management.
Thanks to the entire GlobalGiving community for making this dream possible. In the coming months we will have more news and progress to tell you.
Best regards,
Luisa Palomino
