Community Recreation Empowerment Vitality (CREV) is a solar-powered, rural community hub in Uganda providing integrated services in early childhood development, rehabilitation, vocational training, healthcare, eco-restoration, and eco-tourism. CREV will directly benefit 5,000 vulnerable people by promoting inclusion, resilience, and sustainability through locally-led, income-generating, and environmentally responsible approaches in Uganda. This investment project calls for joint effort.
In rural Uganda, 70% of children with disabilities lack access to early learning and rehabilitation due to stigma. Over 60% of youth and women face unemployment from limited skills and opportunities. Deforestation rates exceed 2% annually, causing soil erosion and reducing farm productivity for 80% of households. Climate risks like flooding and drought worsen without ecosystem restoration. CREV's integrated hub tackles these challenges to build resilience and inclusion.
CREV creates an inclusive, solar-powered hub delivering early childhood education, rehabilitation, vocational training, healthcare, and eco-restoration. By integrating services, it improves access for children with disabilities, youth, and women, builds skills, and generates livelihoods. Through reforestation and sustainable farming, CREV restores ecosystems, reduces climate risks, and fosters community resilience for 5,000 vulnerable people.
CREV will empower 5,000 vulnerable community members with improved health, education, and livelihoods. Restored ecosystems will increase agricultural productivity and climate resilience. Inclusive services will reduce disability stigma and youth unemployment. The self-sustaining hub model will drive lasting social and economic transformation, creating a replicable blueprint for rural development and environmental restoration across Uganda.
