With the income of two meager sources it is too difficult for Shrimanta to maintain his five member family in the remote location like Purba Chintamanipur.
Shibani was suffering from some menstrual complications since last two/three years; the village housewife of this age never told to her husband about her problem but suppressed the fact and thought, it will go over he time. Gradually her situation went worse and one day she shared with her husband. She experienced abnormal clot bleeding with unbearable pain during her period. She along with her husband went to a doctor in nearby location who used to come from outside. The doctor treated her for seven/eight months but no positive result she got spending money about Rs. 4,000/-.
One day the health worker of community health programme visited her house and came to know the fact. The health worker suggested her to visit the lady gynecologist at RHTC of Sabuj sangha who attends clinic on Friday. According to advice Shibani and her husband attended the doctor and after thorough examination the doctor advised for certain blood tests and USG. Shibani did it and showing the report to the doctor it was revealed that, she is bearing one tumor of 750 grams in her uterus. The doctor suggested for immediate operation and biopsy of the lump.
Soon after few day the tumor of Shibani was operated in Shriguru Janakalyan Maternity & Nursing Home located in adjacent GP. They had Swastha Sathi card and the surgery was done free of cost and biopsy report was also normal.
Shibani commented, “I have escaped from death for may village health worker of community health programme. May God bless Sabuj Sangha!”
