Fighting violence against children in France

Between February and May, 445 people were reached through our prevention programs: 357 children and 88 adults across schools, socio-educational structures, and local networks in the Parisian region.  

The final sessions of our school programs marked a tangible milestone. Students demonstrated real progress: a stronger ability to express emotions, identify risky situations, understand personal boundaries, and recognize trusted adults. Core concepts such as consent, children's rights, privacy, and the prevention of gender-based and sexual violence, including online, are now sustainably embedded in their understanding.  

In collaboration with a theatre company, we facilitated post-performance discussions with around 500 students following a play addressing incest. These sessions turned the emotions sparked by the performance into meaningful spaces for dialogue, helping young people understand the mechanisms of violence and silence in a concrete, accessible way.  

Alongside our work with children, we continued training and awareness sessions for educators and professionals. These were closely linked to the finalization of our Practical Guide for Protective Adults, a hands-on tool developed by our prevention team to help adults identify early warning signs, receive disclosures, and respond appropriately.  

This dual approach - building children's skills while strengthening adults' capacities - is at the heart of what we do. Together, they create safer, more protective environments for children.
