The accomplishments achieved by FUNDOWN CARIBE these 3 months: the display of two billboards, distributing 15,000 flyers in 100 taxis in Barranquilla, 2 cultural public events in shopping malls of this city, having delivered to 100 pediatricians a CD with the medical protocol and 2 newsletters and the visits that are being made to 42 public and private schools, met its goal of drawing attention to the general public that we are all different and our abilities and skills are what distinguishes a human being from another. What distinguishes us makes us unique, so we must learn to value and respect differences. With these activities we also seek going beyond the imaginary that all persons with Down Syndrome are the same, which is why we celebrate the individuality and show how different they are from each other.
We have made a difference, just take a look at the faces of our members who participated in these activities.
Again, thank you for all of you who believed in this project, we need your continued support for this campaign to be continuous and ongoing, we have so much to do ...this was only a start..
Remember, one makes the difference ....
