Dear Supporters,
Thank you so much for investing in our project, WOW Café—a café with a cause. As you may remember, WOW stands for Wakefulness Orphans and Widows. This endeavor is designed not only to generate funds for our charity but also to become a hub where impoverished families can come together and support one another here in Mororoni Tanzania.
We are thrilled to report that we are making significant strides, all thanks to your continued support. As you know, new businesses typically don't turn a profit in their first two or three years. However, your generous donations have allowed us to set up, hire staff, and provide jobs, improving food security and nutrition for the community, families, children, and schools we serve. We currently have two cooks, an assistant manager, and a waitress, all local Tanzanians.
Enclosed is our June and July newsletters, highlighting how WOW Café has become a home for these multidimensionally impoverished children. It’s a place where they can learn, eat, grow, and simply enjoy being children. We've also hosted school functions, further strengthening our ties within the community.
While we haven't yet reached profitability, we are confident that it won’t be long before we begin breaking even, as we welcome more customers each day. In the meantime, we continue to focus on our projects, ensuring that we serve children who might otherwise be overlooked. Our ultimate goal is to transform into a soup kitchen, starting once a month and eventually expanding to once a week, to support the poorest families with children in our community. We are not far from realizing this dream, as we are already feeding 10 families and providing them with chicken and vegetables—delicacies they wouldn't otherwise be able to afford.
Thank you once again for your unwavering support, without which we wouldn't be able to continue making such a meaningful impact. As we move forward, your continued generosity will be crucial in helping us reach even more children and families in need. Every contribution brings us closer to our goal of creating a brighter future for those we serve. We hope you'll consider partnering with us again as we work towards these shared goals. Together, we are making a meaningful difference.
Warm regards,
Mrs. Paula Chomba
