Dear Friend,
Thank you very much for your support to our project helping women coconut-based farmers improve their level of living. Coconut is an excellent crop because it needs little care and one can harvest nuts every 3 months or so. The main problem is that dried coconuts called copra price in the market fluctuates and there are instances where it is not profitable to harvest the nuts. This reporting period we remedy the situation by promoting to our beneficiaries the growing of bananas under coconut trees. Bananas are excellent companions of coconuts because they tolerate shaded areas and the demand in the market is always high. This reporting period we are able to distribute banana suckers to 120 women farmers and we will follow this up with technical support. Again thank you very much for your support.
Very sincerely yours,
Cora Sayre
