Hello dear donors,
In the first quarter of 2025, the coastal cleanup activities of Rendu Ocean will enter their 18th year.
After completing a marine debris science lecture and a half day beach cleaning activity with a company at the end of December last year, the number of beach cleaning activities has decreased due to the impact of winter and Chinese New Year.
On March 22nd, a public beach cleaning activity was organized at Binjiang Forest Park in Shanghai, collecting a total of 38.5kg of floating garbage.
We also conducted plans for beach cleaning, public science popularization, and training of college student beach cleaning guides this month.

Hello dear donors,
In 2024, Rendu Ocean's coastal cleanup activities enter the 17th year.
The most important change in 2024 is that the coastal cleanup activities for public will be given top priority in the schedule, once a month.
Although two public beach cleanings were cancelled due to the hot summer and typhoons, we still had 39 volunteers participate in the public beach cleanings at Binjiang Forest Park at the end of August.
On September 28th, Rendu Ocean and NGO Jingyun jointly organized 42 volunteers to complete 79.5 kilograms of marine debris.
On the second day, Rendu Ocean together with a Japanese funded enterprise, completed the cleaning of marine waste on the beach and gave a detailed promotion of environmental protection concepts41 volunteers picked up 50 kilograms of marine debris.

Dear donors, I hope everything is going well.
Rendu Ocean's coastal cleanup activities are entering the second quarter, and the activities' areas in Shanghai are still under maintenance and road repairs, the number of coastal cleanup locations and activities have been somewhat limited. However, we are still trying our best to overcome the difficulties and continue to go to the safe roads with our volunteers to carry out the coastal cleaning activities.
In the second quarter, we organized 10 coastal cleaning activities in Shanghai and 1 coastal cleaning activity in Sanya, with a total of 347 volunteers participating and picking up a total of 630.425kg of marine trash.
In each coastal cleaning activity, when volunteers are on their way to the destination, we will popularize some knowledge about the ocean, marine garbage and waste reduction, and interact with the volunteers in the form of questions and answers. We hope that by combining science popularization and coastal cleaning practice, we can make people realize how harmful marine garbage is to the ocean, nature and human beings, so that they can reduce garbage in their daily life and thus protect the environment.
That's the activities for the 2rd quarter, Due to the high temperatures in Shanghai during summer, our activity frequency decreased in July. In September, World Cleanup Day is approaching, and we look forward to volunteers coming to the beach again to participate in coastal cleaning activities.
