Dear donors, I hope everything is going well.
Rendu Ocean's coastal cleanup activities are now entering the third quarter. We are pleased to share that our efforts to engage more communities and businesses in marine conservation have continued to bear fruit.
In the third quarter, we organized 3 coastal cleanup activities in Shanghai, including 2 public beach cleanups and 1 corporate beach cleanup. A total of 23 volunteers participated, collectively collecting 87.2 kg of marine debris from our shores.
During each coastal cleanup activity, while volunteers are en route to the cleanup site, we take the opportunity to share knowledge about the ocean, marine litter, and waste reduction strategies. Through interactive Q&A sessions, we aim to deepen volunteers' understanding of how marine debris impacts the ocean, nature, and human well-being. By combining science communication with hands-on cleanup practice, we hope to inspire lasting behavioral change—encouraging everyone to reduce waste in their daily lives and contribute to environmental protection.
That concludes our activities for the third quarter. Due to the high temperatures in Shanghai during the summer months, we intentionally reduced the frequency of our activities in July and August. Looking ahead, with World Cleanup Day approaching in September, we look forward to welcoming volunteers back to the beach to join us once again in protecting our coastline.
