Dear Donors,
Independence Day provided us with an opportunity to meet our coaching class children. The day was celebrated on the 15th of August in Kodappu. Safety measures were followed to safeguard our children and members from COVID - 19. The meeting was presided over by President Rtn. Valarmathi, Rotary Club of Trichirappalli Shakthi. The flag was hoisted. The RCT Shakthi donated 30 notebooks & pens for our coaching class children, sweets and books for our mobile library. Prizes were given to winners of Essay writing and Elocution competition. The Secretary of New Life gave an awareness speech on COVID 19. Arsenicum Album, preventive medicine was distributed by the RCT Shakthi to our children and members.
The children are yet to come back to the coaching class due to the restriction for the children to go to schools. We continue to pray that the world will soon recover from the pandemic COVID-19 and start functioning normally. We are waiting to see our beautiful children coming back to our learning centre and coaching classes soon.
To support the families of the children in our coaching classes and early learning centre New Life planned to give training to the women in their families with the support of Rotary Club of Trichirappalli Shakthi and Krishna Foundation. Skill training on wire basket making was conducted for 15 women in Kajapet who are from the families of our early learning centre and coaching class children.
The training was completed on 9th October with an assessment. Certificates were given to the trainees. The program aims to give these poor women an additional income-generating skill by utilising their leisure hours.
The pandemic has raised a need for supporting the families of our coaching class children to sustain economically and to intervene in the health aspects of children. Hence New Life is taking initiatives to provide the same. We request you to kindly support the organisation to help us to do it.
We thank all our donors for their valuable support to our organisation to help the poor kids we work with and their families in spite of all odds and economic crunch during this pandemic. Kindly spread words about our work to your friends and relatives so that we can continue to support these poor children to grow up to wonderful adults.
Thanking you once again.
Stay safe and fight COVID-19!
