The entrepreneurial program has been carrying on well, with many people interested in becoming entrepreneurs, however the number of entrepreneurs became bigger than the number second hand clothes we could supply to them, so we were forced to think big and try and accommodate this hunger for people to sustain themselves financially.
With a little help from Ford Motor Company we have started a training centre, where unemployed people can receive training for free! The training includes qualifications such as Early Childhood Development and Business Administration Services that will take 12 months to complete and thereafter students will be in a position where they are employable. For Early Childhood Development qualification holders, they also have an option to start their own business and become a day mother or run a full on nursery school.
As part of the training, we also will be offering an entrepreneurial programme which teach valuable skills for individuals interested in becoming entrepreneurs. All candidates at the training centre will receive financial literacy education and general life skills training.
When the candidates have completed the course we will assist them in finding work or set up their businesses, we will always be available to them to provide advice in various areas where we can.
We are very excited that we are now going to have a much bigger impact in our society and help many families out of poverty!
