April Update: Outsized impact + carrying Peru's lessons to Ethiopia, Kenya, beyond

By Ruth Rhoads Allen | President and Chief Collaboration Officer

Happy Earth Day!

On April 22nd our kids brough home tiny, native trees to plant and instructions to take a photo every year on Earth Day. A tangible reminder of how something small can grow, take root, and become part of an ecosystem

In recent project reports, we've shared how this small research initiative has grown in Peru and is taking root with groups working closely with Indigenous women in the Amazon Basin

This quarter, CDA is carrying the lessons into a wider ecosystem, all the way to:

  • Ethiopia, as a case example to inspire new conflict sensitivity guidance for climate action;
  • Kenya, as practical recommendations for policy making, in partnership with Local Capacities for Peace International; and
  • Canada, as evidence in expert sessions at the Fourth Environmental Peacebuilding Conference.

Your support helps make this outsized impact possible!

Thank You and Happy Earth Day!

P.S. In-line with the project's evolution, the donation options are updated. Take a look and let us know what you think!
