December Update: new learning on Climate & Conflict in Peru

By Ruth Rhoads Allen | President and Chief Collaboration Officer

As we close 2025, we are so grateful for all the supporters of this campaign!

With your help, we have been able to:

  • Make the "Biodiversity's Sisters" learning brief (see August update) widely accessable to local leaders and practitioners, equipping Indigeous leadership in policy processes
  • Continue learning with Indigenous groups across the Amazon Basin before and during the UN's Climate Conference in Brazil (COP30); and
  • Jointly identify the next phase of research: bridging Indigenous concepts and Western frameworks of peace, conflict, and environmental change as a pathway for environmental peacebuilding

This is collaborative learning in action. By starting with curiosity and learning together, we're proud to be a part of local knowledge working for people and planet.

Thank you for making this journey possible. We can't wait to continue it with you in the New Year!
