Dear HALO Supporters:
Since we began this project - to remove landmines from Banteay Ti Muoy - we have been able to locate, destroy and remove 138 landmines from the village. With your help we have returned 274,066 square meters of land back to the people of Banteay Ti Muoy, so that they can build their lives free from the threat posed by landmines. $9,193 has been raised from 159 generous donations. THANK YOU!
You are in good company...
HRH Prince Harry, the Patron of HALO's 25th Anniversay Appeal, toured a HALO photo exhibition on Capitol Hill (Washington, DC) and attended a dinner in aid of HALO on Thursday, May 9. The Prince's visit help bring worldwide attention to the global problem of landmines and unexploded ordnance, which kill and maim thousands every year. Prince Harry said, “My mother, who believed passionately in this cause, would be proud of my association with HALO. In her special way, she adopted it as her own. She would join me – along with all of you, I’m sure – in praising HALO for the amazing work that it has done over the past quarter century, and in hoping that one day soon its humanitarian work will be done." Many thanks for helping us get the job done.
