Water is life.
Every child needs clean water to drink. Every family needs water to cook, wash, clean their homes and maintain dignity. Schools need water to protect children from disease and create a safe environment for learning. Health facilities need water to provide basic healthcare. Communities need water for sanitation, hygiene and everyday life.
Yet for many vulnerable communities in Uganda's Bukedi Region, access to safe and reliable water remains a serious challenge.
Eastlander Childcare Organization Uganda (ECCOU) is seeking support through its WASH Project to help communities overcome this challenge by improving access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene facilities and practices.
Despite the urgent need, ECCOU has not yet received donations toward this WASH project through GlobalGiving. This means that the need remains largely unmet, while children and families continue to face the daily consequences of inadequate access to safe water.
Project reports on GlobalGiving are posted directly to globalgiving.org by Project Leaders as they are completed, generally every 3-4 months. To protect the integrity of these documents, GlobalGiving does not alter them; therefore you may find some language or formatting issues.
If you donate to this project or have donated to this project, you can receive an email when this project posts a report. You can also subscribe for reports without donating.
