Here at God's Littlest Angels, we've been looking up into the sky alot these days, waiting for the rain since we're supposedly in the midst of rainy season. But this year, those torrential downpours haven't been coming as frequently as expected and it's been difficult not just for GLA but for the entire community, which relies heavily on the ability to farm the land and produce self-sustainable food sources. Each year, the rainy season here in Haiti brings the promise of filling our storage cisterns, feeding our crops, and making available what's needed for filtering and drinking along with cooking, bathing, and washing clothes on a daily basis.
Since these past months haven't yielded the amount of the water needed, we've had to begin purchasing a susbstantial amount more water truck deliveries than is usual for this time of year. This is a costly endeavor at about $90 US per truck; but it's an expenditure that has to happen in order to keep all of the GLA kids healthy and thriving.
One of the greatest gifts you could give would be to help us by dontating to cover the cost of at least one water truck over the next few months. More than one would be wonderful but if you can only commit to donating for a single truck, you should know that your investment will ensure that we're able to provide this life-giving resource to children who, without it, would face the same fate as so many other little ones in this country.
In the meantime, we're praying for more rain alongside the certainty that we can continue to make this mission a success through your generous support!
