Many of us thought that getting out of the year 2020 would be the solution. We will always remember 2020 as the covid-19, social unrest, closures, the year of not getting anything done. The year that our jobs and lifestyles became more digital. We learned where the wifi had the strongest signals in our homes. We learn how to socialize via zoom and still keep in touch with our loved ones. Here we are now. People all over the world still are fighting against the pandemic. We are all doing our best despite the rising numbers of covid-19.
In Haiti, we are also fighting with covid-19. We are in our second wave. We are not only fighting covid-19, we are also living in a period of political unrest. Haiti is in a state of level 4 Security Alert. This is affecting our daily lives. Since we live up in the mountains, many roads would be blocked by rioters. It makes it more difficult for the water trucks to go up to God’s Littlest Angels. Despite all of these challenges, we are doing our best just like all of our lovely donors.
Time waits for no one and now it is the time for us to work together to have a better environment. We should not forget that God is our provider. Lately, it has been raining daily. We are definitely in Haiti’s rainy season. We are able to save a little bit more water. This is such a blessing for GLA. God also sent many of you to help us in our cause and projects and it is also a blessing. Thank you for donating your time in the cyber world to help us provide clean water for our sweet children.
"Who covers the heavens with clouds, Who provides rain for the earth, Who makes grass to grow on the mountains." Psalm 147:8.
