Friends of Adaklu (FOA) recently celebrated a joyful milestone on April 2, 2026 with a special Mechanized Borehole Dedication Ceremony in Adaklu Dawanu. Thanks to the incredible generosity of donors and supporters, families who once walked long distances for unsafe water now have access to a reliable, clean water source close to home. The ceremony brought together students, parents, teachers, community leaders, and FOA staff to celebrate hope, health, and opportunity.
Community members shared heartfelt gratitude for the life-changing impact of the new borehole and repaired water system. For many families, this project means fewer waterborne illnesses, more time for school and learning, and renewed dignity for the entire community.

During the celebration, community leaders and families expressed deep appreciation to everyone who made this project possible. Your kindness and compassion are already transforming daily life for students at Adaklu Dawanu Basic School and surrounding families who previously depended on distant or contaminated water sources. Because of you, children can spend more time learning instead of searching for water, and families can look toward the future with greater hope.

FOA remains committed to monitoring and maintaining the water system to ensure long-term sustainability for the community. The ceremony was not only a celebration of clean water but also of what can happen when caring people come together to invest in a community’s future.
Now that this project is complete, FOA is turning its attention to addressing the ongoing water challenges in Adaklu Kpetsu, where families are still struggling to access safe and reliable clean water.
Thank you for believing in Friends of Adaklu and for helping bring clean water, better health, and new opportunities to Adaklu Dawanu. Your support is creating lasting change for generations to come.
