Dear Family, Friends and Supporters of St. Mugagga Boys Home

H. Auden said, “Thousands have lived without love, not one without water.” I want to thank all of you who have donated generously to Give safe water to 82 Ugandan orphans project. We have come from far, we have reached far, and we are still going. We cherish the love you have for the vulnerable and orphan children in Uganda and entire world.

We are soon entering dry season in July and that’s the time we normally face it hot with water scarcity fetching water in swamps which is very contaminated. Such periods always cost us heavily in treating the children diseases caused by contaminated water majorly typhoid. However, we can now suffer with hope knowing that anytime we shall get water after successful completion of drilling a borehole at the project site.

Drilling of a well

So far the drilling of a well exercise has been completed successful which was done in March. The team of Water technicians from Ninzi Holdings Company Limited well equipped with machines were able to drill 120 Metres to reach the water shallow which was deeper than what was planned before. We are happy that they did this without incurring any extra cost on us.

Next Step

Hopefully with availability of funds, we hope to install water pump powered by solar power. Step by step we shall reach there together.

Activities of the project showing cost and status

  • Hydro-geological survey         $546    Done
  • Drilling             $6355  Done
  • Solar pump installation        $5,460pending
  • Tank and its accessories + Pipework    $10,920       Pending

Our dear Donors, you are so kind, caring, and selfless- never asking for anything in return. We are so lucky to have you because you are by far the most fantastic people we have ever met, with a huge heart. In every way possible, you show and prove how much you care about your friends and family. We can’t thank you enough for everything you do for others and how you have. You are such amazing people. We are glad to call you, our friends. Thank you for contributing to St. Mugagga Boys Home.

Your support is invaluable to us, thank you again! If you have specific questions about our mission be sure to visit our website https://stmugagga.org/

We sincerely thank you for the support and trust that you have shown to us in achieving your goals of providing safe clean water to our communities without access.

Best regards

Dear supporters

This is an update from the field to let you know about our clean water project. Your donation reminds me of how much we depend on your generosity and moral support to accomplish our mission. Thank you for your gift. Your kind gesture helped us to raise $7,766 out of $22,000 to give safe water to 82 Ugandan children.

What we can assure you is that we are only remaining with $600 to unveil the next step which is drilling. We know that little by little we will make it together. “Together we can”

We are in touch with the engineers who have already indicated it on plan to start drilling probably next month provided the $600remaining for this activity to activity to kick-off.

We continue to wait patiently for we know our patience is not about the ability to wait but the ability to keep a good attitude while waiting.

For we believe soon or later, drilling process will begin.

I suppose the word is “gratified.” We are gratified that you believe in our work enough to give us a grant. Thank you for your trust in us

Warm Regards,

Dear Donors,

Raindrops may be tiny in shape and size, but cumulatively they make rivers flow.

Thank you for your supporting our clean water and sanitation project.

I wanted to give you a quick progress update from the field.

Currently, the clean water project is still in its initial stages because the finances raised haven’t met the threshold for us to start the second step, which is drilling.

So far, we have raised $7,035 out of the $22,000 goal. But we’re getting closer.

The remaining steps remaining for the water project and their costs are below:

Activity steps Cost Status

  • Hydro-geological survey $546 - done
  • Drilling $7,644 - pending
  • Solar pump installation $5,460 - pending
  • Tank and its accessories + Pipework $10,920 - pending

We feel hopeful progress in bringing clean, safe water to these children and remaining optimistic and patient.

Once more, we thank you for your endless support of our project to give safe water.

Would you consider sharing this project with others?

Warm Regards,

Bro Nicholus Nuwagira. (BSCL)

Children fetching water during dry season
Children fetching water during dry season

Dear Donors and Friends,

Thank you for your supporting our clean water and sanitation project. I wanted to give you a progress update.

Through your effort, we have so far raised $6,539 out of the $22,000 goal. We still need to raise $1,105 to meet the drilling costs. But we’re getting closer.

We feel hopeful for making more progress in bringing clean, safe water to these children.

Uganda is battling with the second wave of the COVID 19 pandemic, which has forced the Ministry of Health and the President to call for the second lockdown of schools, churches, public gatherings inter-district travels, among others are on a ban.

Unfortunately, this has come at the wrong time because it is the dry season where water is scarce. Due to this situation, the vulnerable children in our care need to help fetch water from a distant place where they mix with other community members and lives at risk of contracting the virus.

Once more, we thank you for your endless support of our project to give safe water.

Please consider sharing this project with others.

Stay well and safe.

Dear Friends,

We cannot thank you enough for your generosity to support the St Mugagga Boys Home Clean Water and Sanitation Project. Through your efforts, we were able to raise $5,879 out of the $22,000 goal. Thank you very much for your generosity towards the vulnerable and orphan children who directly benefit from this project.

We have made progress putting your gifts to work and make good progress already on this project. We just completed the geological survey to help us know the availability of safe underground water. The survey discovered we have safe water 80 Meters below the surface which is excellent news.

See the attached Geological Survey with the research and pictures of the proposed well site.

Our next step is to start drilling and putting the pump installation. We hope to begin this work very soon. Now our need is greatest during the dry season when we have the most water scarcity. The drilling company cannot start work to dig the well until their labor gets funded, and we are eager to begin this next step soon.

The remaining steps remaining for the water project and their costs are below:

Activity steps

  1. Hydro-geological survey ($546) - Done
  2. Well Drilling ($7,644) - Pending
  3. Solar pump installation ($5,460) - Pending
  4. Tank and its accessories + Pipework ($10,920) - Pending

Thanks to your support, we feel hopeful for the progress so far. We can and will bring clean, safe water to these children.

The power of a seed is not in its size but the quality of its product. May the investment you have made yield multiple blessings for the children in our care. Thank you again for your support.
