This project will provide clean and reliable drinking water to approximately 30 families in Wokoka Village, Limbe, Cameroon, who currently depend on seasonal rainwater and costly water deliveries. By drilling and equipping a community borehole with water storage and distribution points, the project will provide year-round access to safe water, improve health and sanitation, reduce household expenses, and support food security and livelihoods.
Wokoka Village, a growing rural community of about 30 families near Limbe, Cameroon, lacks a reliable source of clean drinking water. Residents depend on seasonal rainwater and costly water deliveries, leading to health risks, poor sanitation, financial hardship, and limited agricultural and community development opportunities for more than 200 people.
Clean Water project will establish a sustainable community borehole water system in Wokoka Village through borehole drilling, water quality testing, pump installation, water storage, and public distribution points. The system will provide year-round access to safe water for more than 30 families, improve health and sanitation, reduce water costs, support agriculture, and be sustainably managed by a community water committee
