Project Report | Feb 28, 2023
PROGRESS REPORT.

By Dungrila Pascal Mbimenyuy. | I.A.A Director/Project Leader.

SUMMARY.

Integrated Agricultural Association (I.A.A) has begun work to construct two wells for Fulani people in the Foumbot area, in the west region of Cameroon. Two wells have been dug so far and the project is at 40% as of now. I.A.A is in the process of materials and equipment proceurement ( 2 manual pumps, cement, rots, sand, plywood, gravel and design of 25 rings). I.A.A aims to improve health and wellbeing amongst the fulani people and other community member groups through access to clean and safe drinking water.

IMPACT.

With the two wells constructed and installed in two different accessible locations in Mogni community, over 500 Fulani people and other community member groups will have access to clean and safe drinking water. Children and women will save time because water is sufficien enough to meet their need and has been brought closer, which was not the case before.

CHALLENGE.

I.A.A has not reached the funding goal $10,000) for the construction of two wells and lack of sufficient funds is slowing down the progress of the project. I.A.A has raised $5375 for this project so far, but this is not enough to construct and deliver two wells. I.A.A intends to complete this project at most in the next two months if complete budged is available. Other neighboring villages closer to project area are requesting for help in providing them with clean and safe drinking water as remains a big challenge for rural people in Cameroon.

WAYFORWARD.

Integrated Agricultural Association (I.A.A) will continue mobilizing financial resources for this project to complete within two months, and will continue to provide updates on the progress of the project, as well as plan to increase the geographic scope to create more impact in fulani communities in the west region of Cameroon.
