Clean Water For 1000 Families in Rural Nigeria

Clean Water For 1000 Families in Rural Nigeria

The lack of clean water in Sabo community has been a lingering problem as the government, organizations or personal individuals have neglected the community in terms of providing an infrastructure that will make good water available for the people.

The objective of this was to ensure the community has access to clean and drinkable water.

PROJECT SUSTAINABILITY PLAN The project is being managed and sustained by the community head. The community was also enlightened on how to use and maintain the property so as to last beyond the pilot period.

PROJECT MONITORING INDICATOR Strategy and Innovation for Development Initiative has been monitoring the progress of the pilot project during the pilot period till when the project became successful through Hezekiah Mba Ibrahim who is the sponsored partner.

SI4DEV partner @hezekiahibrahim went to monitor the usage of the Sabo community borehole project and also to hear feedback from the community and users recently.

In an interview with a community member on the usage, it emerged how the borehole has not only helped them in Sabo but also neighboring communities.
This is the first time this part of Bichi local government area is having potable water and we are proud to be supporting this project.

Dear Supporters,

Hope this meets you well.

Though we were not able to continue the water borehole project in Olla Kogi state, we were able to proceed with the project in Bichi Kano State.

The major issue for the people of Sabo community in Bichi Local Government Area of Kano State is lack of clean and drinkable water. This issue can be addressed by making available pipe-born water for the community. This project will provide and maintain 1 (one) manual borehole that will provide the entire community with clean and consumable water.

With the community leads in the first picture is SI4DEV partner Hezekiah Ibrahim who has come up with the project and fundraising on their behalf. The other pictures show SI4DEV partner @hezekiahibrahim at the site of our borehole project in Bichi community Sabo Kano. Access to clean and safe water had eluded this village for so long!

We're happy to be part of this positive change in their story. We will be working with them to ensure that the borehole remains viable for a long time to come.

Thank you for your support.

Dear Donor,

Due to the inability to raise sufficient funds for this project, we will be retiring the project.

This borehole project was proposed to reduce the outbreaks of water borne diseases and will change the economy and health of the community for the better, like improving the health standards in the schools and markets, improving development and the environment. We were also hoping to educate the girls and women and enlist the support of community leaders in Support Clubs for sustainability.

Apologies that we cannot achieve this goal. We assure that your donation will still go towards another similar cause verified by our team.

Thank you.
