Many households in Ghana rely on traditional cooking methods that produce smoke and contribute to indoor air pollution. This project provides access to clean cooking technologies and safe energy solutions to improve health and reduce environmental impact.
Using traditional stoves and open fires exposes families to harmful smoke, increasing the risk of respiratory illnesses, especially among women and children. It also contributes to deforestation and greenhouse gas emissions.
This project will distribute clean cookstoves and energy-efficient cooking technologies to households, along with training on their safe use and maintenance. Families will learn to adopt cleaner cooking methods, reducing smoke exposure, saving fuel, and protecting the environment.
The project will improve household health by reducing exposure to harmful smoke, lower fuel consumption and costs, reduce environmental degradation, and promote sustainable energy practices in communities.
