This project will complete the construction of modern, hygienic school bathrooms in Arri Ward, Tanzania, benefiting over 1,000 children in four primary schools. By providing clean water, safe sanitation, and menstrual hygiene facilities, we aim to improve health, increase school attendance, and create a dignified learning environment for all students, especially girls. Karimu has already successfully built bathrooms in three of the primary schools and both secondary schools.
This project addresses the critical lack of clean and safe sanitation facilities in four primary schools in Arri Ward, Tanzania. Currently, poor hygiene conditions expose over 1,000 children to health risks, hinder school attendance, and disproportionately affect girls' education due to inadequate menstrual hygiene support. Without proper sanitation, students frequently fall ill, miss school, and face undignified learning environments, perpetuating cycles of poverty and inequality.

These improvements will reduce illness, increase school attendance, and create a safe, dignified environment for all students. The long-term impact of this project is a healthier, more educated generation in Arri Ward. Improved sanitation will reduce disease, increase school attendance, and enable students-especially girls-to thrive academically. By fostering a clean, dignified learning environment, the project empowers communities to break the cycle of poverty, promoting sustainable development and self-reliance for future generations. It sets the foundation for lasting social and economic progress.
