"Cup of Kindness" is a short holiday project inspired by our annual "Coffee with St. Nicholas" campaign. Anyone can skip one cup of coffee and turn it into a meaningful donation for a child. Contributions will fund laptops for online learning, stationery, art supplies, books, board games, and other tools that strengthen resilience and motivation. During the Christmas season, children will receive development kits, warmth, care, and inspiration for the future.
Because of the ongoing war in Ukraine, thousands of children face educational gaps, a lack of learning materials, and emotional exhaustion. Many families cannot afford basic educational tools. Children lose motivation, fall behind in school, and lack opportunities for creativity and emotional recovery. According to UNICEF, as of 2025 about 4.6 million children in Ukraine face educational barriers, as the war has damaged or destroyed schools and disrupted regular schooling.
The "Cup of Kindness" campaign transforms a daily habit into support for children affected by the war. Donations provide laptops, tablets, books, art supplies, stationery, and games, helping children close educational gaps, stay motivated, and develop emotional resilience. Holiday development kits bring warmth, care, and joy, ensuring both learning and emotional support during a critical, challenging period for children and families.
Potential Long-Term Impact This project provides children with laptops, books, creative kits, stationery, and games, helping them continue learning, develop creativity, and build emotional resilience despite the war. Long-term, it can improve academic achievement, motivation, social-emotional skills, self-confidence, giving children better opportunities for future success. The campaign also fosters community support, empathy, and philanthropic habits, sustaining care for children over time.
