Hello, Mulibwanji?
I hope you and the family are doing well this festive season. This year has been very good to us at BFM where we have a seen a significant improvement in our works and for all this has been possible because of the continued support that you give to us every year, God should continue to bless you in everything that you do.
Below is a report of the work that we have done during this term that just ended on 20th December. This is a new term which is in the 2024-2025 academic year which will run until July 2025.
Student Support: The Student Support Project has had a profound impact on the lives of the 40 students it supports, particularly the 14 Form 4 students who are preparing for their final exams. The financial assistance provided has not only enabled these students to continue their education but has also contributed to their overall academic and personal development. The success of five former beneficiaries in gaining admission to public universities is a testament to the effectiveness of the project. With continued support and additional funding, the project aims to expand its reach and ensure that even more students can benefit from this invaluable assistance
Go for Girls: This initiative has specifically focused on empowering girls by teaching them valuable skills in sewing reusable sanitary pads and simple bags, thereby boosting their confidence and independence. The Girl Talk sessions have provided a safe space for girls to share their experiences and challenges, further enhancing their personal and social development. A total of 136 girls participated; 42 girls learned to sew reusable sanitary pads, and 94 made their own bags.
Minor Grants Project: This project has supported both male and female students by providing essential educational materials that have significantly improved academic performance in the targeted schools. Despite challenges such as rising material costs, the positive feedback from teachers and students underscores the project's effectiveness in enhancing learning outcomes and fostering a conducive educational environment. A total of 80 study books have been given to different schools and public libraries and also learning materials have been donated to Mkanthama school.
Both projects have demonstrated excellence in delivering services that promote education and empower students. Continued support and additional funding will be crucial to expanding the reach of these programs and sustaining their positive impact on the lives of students and the broader educational community in Malawi.
