Chip in to fight Covid-19

Since the pandemic outbreak, we have made all efforts to keep everybody safe and protected. Now we are to the most important point of this challenge, the vaccination. We should take advantage of it and get the chance of being protected and protecting others. Together with the Rotary Probitas team and the University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Craiova we are running raising awareness actions to help people understand the importance of vaccination. Teams made of doctors, resident doctors, and volunteers speak openly to the population and answer their questions about vaccines. We consider that it is very important to stay close to the people and make sure they understand how important it is to vaccinate.

We are optimistic and confident that the actions we are implementing will help people better understand how vaccines work and how important it is to vaccinate. Getting to this point was not easy at all — but you helped us get here.

With the money recently raised, we bought disinfectants and offered them to the Public Health Directorate in Craiova to be used in vaccination centers and supported the raising awareness campaigns.

We are deeply touched by the generosity of our donors and grateful for your support, which ultimately helps us serve our community. Thank you for adapting to the situation and responding quickly to the needs of our fellow citizens!

2020 has gone, but it will be remembered as a historical year for its tough challenges, the anxiety and social distancing it brought to people in every corner of the world. 

As governments enforced isolation measures, Asociatia Rotary Probitas Craiova moved fundraising campaigns online, on social networks and we even did word of mouth money raising campaigns. It was heartening to see individuals, small and big companies doing their part by offering donations of any kind. We are now almost a year distance after the COVID-19 outbreak, but your generosity continues to help improve conditions for people who were most affected by this pandemic. We continued to offer help to infected people who needed hospitalization and to support local hospitals and frontline medical staff to face day by day challenges. Although resources have been thinner, we managed to prioritize the needs to make sure the most urgent cases get our support.

Now, a new year has arrived and we are all hoping it will bring back normality, at least to some sense. We wish you and your family a happy and healthy 2021!
