Our international toll free domestic violence crisis line, 866-USWOMEN, provides a continuum of services for mothers of children who have either experienced or witnessed abuse while living abroad.
We serve American women & children living in foreign countries who are victims of domestic violence & child abuse, via an international toll free crisis line. Crisis line advocates work with victims, empowering them to make the decisions necessary to live a life without violence for themselves & their children while navigating the complicated system that hinders them from fleeing the violence and returning to the USA. We offer counseling, relocation, housing, legal assistance & emergency needs.
Every year we provide hundreds of battered American women and abused children with the information and services necessary to enable them to live their lives without violence in the foreign country or back in the USA.
This project will provide over 400 families experiencing domestic violence while living abroad with advocacy, safety planning, referrals, and counseling.
This project has provided additional documentation in a Microsoft Word file (projdoc.doc).
